MUSLIM COUNCIL OF CALGARY EXTENDS HEARTFELT SYMPATHIES TO THE VICTIMS OF THE FLORIDA SHOOTING
It saddens us deeply to have to write about an another school shooting incident. The Muslim Council of Calgary unequivocally condemns the horrendous shooting in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, which resulted in such a tragic loss of 17 lives and injured so many others.
This shooting was cowardly and depraved. Such barbaric and abominable acts of aggression can not be justified or tolerated at any cost.
Members of the Muslim Council of Calgary and its affiliate organizations would like to extend their heartfelt and deepest sympathies to all the victims and their families affected by this horrific act of violence. No innocent people, especially innocent youth should have to face such pain and tragedy.
Such practices by any group or individual, whosoever the perpetrator, are barbaric and inhuman. The killing of innocent victims should be condemned by everyone. Timely proactive intervention on credible information by authorities can prevent such human catastrophes in future.
